Conveniently located just 5 minutes south of Dunkirk and 10 minutes west of the Twin Beaches you’ll find the quiet unincorporated towns of Owings and Sunderland, Maryland.

Owings began as a Chesapeake Beach Railway station. The railway has long since been decommissioned but you can learn about the days gone by at the Chesapeake Beach Railway Museum in Chesapeake Beach, Maryland. This town is bordered to the north by Friendship, Maryland in Anne Arundel County, and the Calvert County towns of Dunkirk to the west and Sunderland to the south. Owings has easy access for commuters via MD Routes 2, 260, and 778.

Sunderland is located at the intersection of MD Routes 2, 4, and 262, Dalrymple and Pushaw roads.  Life in Sunderland affords residents with space to spread out in the quiet surroundings while having proximity to area amenities. This area is also known for several bed and breakfast spots that provide guests with the charm of Southern Maryland that is just off of the beaten path.
