Lothian / Harwood

The town of Lothian is 12 miles southwest of Annapolis, Maryland and 24 miles east of Washington, D.C. Nestled along the little Patuxent River and parts of the Jug Bay Wetlands Sanctuary, Lothian has a range of different properties available that can suit any lifestyle. When exploring the corridor to Annapolis along MD Route 408 to MD Route 2, you’ll find romantic horse farms, horse stables, and convenient large animal supply stores. If your tastes are more recreational, The Cannon Club at the Old South Golf Course is a charming find among the rolling hills of Anne Arundel County and offers amenities like an outdoor pool and tennis courts to name a few.

Traveling further north on MD Route 2, you’ll continue to experience the agricultural majesty of Anne Arundel County in Harwood, Maryland. Harwood is a crossroads of MD Route 2 and Hardwood Road, that is home to Southern Senior High School in the Anne Arundel County Public School System. What the town lacks in size is made up for by the beautiful surroundings. Life here may be less water focused but having the ability to spread out in the wide open spaces is priceless.
